 The New Benidorm Spain Resort

Tourism has become the world’s most important industry today, whether you look at it in terms of environmental impact or cultural change, employment, or by the beach holidays tourists make out on their trips to the place, are all important components for tourism growth. Benidorm is one of the hot destinations in Spain. Currently, a Benidorm holiday resort is suggested and has been planned carefully over the years. The extensive program for development and investment in infrastructure covers the following:

  • Reconstruction and reformation of ninety percent of the resort’s hotels.
  • The current opening of the Barcelo Asia Gardens Resort & Spa overlooking Benidorm, and rated five star.
  • Four world class theme parks.
  • Two terrific Jack Niklaus-designed PGA golf courses.
  • New cycle paths, walkways, bus terminus and better transport links.
  • A one of a kind waterfront walkway located in Poniente Beach on June 2009, next year.
  • And, an innovative Cultural Centre to be opened still by next year. It covers 43,000 sqm, and includes exhibition areas, two conference halls, international library, archaeological museum, music and dance academies, and educational & leisure activities and restaurants.

The place of Benidorm persists to reinvent and evolve itself around the shifting demands of its tourists and visitors. Many are looking forward to the proposed resort, especially the British who identify with its physique appeal as a second home away from their own. But Benidorm remains a Spanish haven where foreign visitors can delight in the superb international cuisine, luxury spas, elegant shopping and luxurious five star hotels, as well as top notch golf courses. The existent charm of Benidorm alone already attracts five million visitors per year, of which over 1.5 million are Britons, what more can you expect for a new Benidorm that is undergoing restructuring and reformation. Furthermore, the unique factor of Benidorm weather makes it an ideal year-round resort among avid holiday makers and travelers. Today, Benidorm is a stack of skyscrapers, clubs, bars, food outlets, and a significant number of tourists who have come to the place making use of the cheap package holidays.

About

Benidorm is part of Spain's Costa Blanca region, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It is found north east of Alicante (around 45 kilometers' drive) and is south of the Altea. Benidorm's beaches and cosmopolitan atmosphere (it has a skyscraper skyline that looks stunning at night) makes it famous for swimming by day, partying by night. And not even winter can dampen this paradise. Enclosed by mountains that stand up to 1558 metres high, Benidorm is shielded against the sometimes cold north winds. Thus, the weather is never harsh, and continues to be a favorite winter escape. In the summer, Benidorm transforms into one big party place. It has over a thousand restaurants, over thirty discos and bars. This is the night life that attracts thousands of visitors a year. They flock to the hotels, which have a total of over 35,000 beds. Or they rent out the apartments and other alternative vacation accommodations (numbering over 200,000). Some tourists have fallen in love with the place so much they actually bought their own properties there, and it has a flourishing British and Irish community.
