 A Memory of Benidorm

I had fallen in love with Benidorm on the first sight. The place is just a simple heaven that anyone can love. If you want peace and cheap holidays, Benidrom can truly accommodate you. My last glimpse of Benidorm was last 2008.

So many reconstruction and plans for the next year was made and I was one of those who knew it. I was one of the architects that was invited to view the lay out plan for a hotel to be built in this place for the incoming year. I tell you the benidorm hotels were great but this new hotel was truly magnificent from the design and building structure. It was totally impressive and huge.
This time is the time for me to visit the once mere paper plan. I wondered if the waterfront walkway has been implemented and built last year. I know the Cultural center is a dream come true for most of the leaders is so eager to put up this centre.
The last two years Benidorm has evolved and reinvented itself to accommodate the guest and travelers coming from different countries and different races. I wondered if today Benidorm’s plumage is change for the better without destroying the Benidorm holidays little heavens.

The sandy beach and the little clear blue water waves are just a sample of the little heavens that attracts tourist all year round even for the fact that the city is stack with skyscrapers, food outlets, bars, restaurants and activity centers.

If you come during the summer season then expect a very little space for your towel in the sand. Everybody is so busy enjoying the sand and sun. So I love coming during the fall season though it was not as warm and hot during the summer… the whole family got to enjoy sitting on the shoe the whole day without any thought of disturbance.

This is year we would be going to Benidorm… and I am hoping to find it changed for the better. A memory to keep forever.

About

Benidorm is part of Spain's Costa Blanca region, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It is found north east of Alicante (around 45 kilometers' drive) and is south of the Altea. Benidorm's beaches and cosmopolitan atmosphere (it has a skyscraper skyline that looks stunning at night) makes it famous for swimming by day, partying by night. And not even winter can dampen this paradise. Enclosed by mountains that stand up to 1558 metres high, Benidorm is shielded against the sometimes cold north winds. Thus, the weather is never harsh, and continues to be a favorite winter escape. In the summer, Benidorm transforms into one big party place. It has over a thousand restaurants, over thirty discos and bars. This is the night life that attracts thousands of visitors a year. They flock to the hotels, which have a total of over 35,000 beds. Or they rent out the apartments and other alternative vacation accommodations (numbering over 200,000). Some tourists have fallen in love with the place so much they actually bought their own properties there, and it has a flourishing British and Irish community.
